Concord International announces appointment of Global Principal

Mr Neil Hawkins, currently Principal of Concord College UK will be taking up the role of Global Principal of Concord International from September 2021.

Principal of Concord since 2005, Mr Hawkins is responsible for the strategy, education, regulatory compliance, marketing and development of this vibrant and highly academic international college. He has overseen the significant growth of Concord and a dynamic building programme whilst redefining the ethos and aims of the college to place a greater emphasis on a holistic approach to education. During his tenure as Principal at Concord, the college has become one of the top performing schools in the UK has achieved consistently high school league table positions for A level and GCSE.

Educated at Brentwood School and Cambridge University, where he studied History, Mr Hawkins has an extensive knowledge of the UK Education system in a career spanning 30 years with positions of significant responsibility at The Leys (Director of studies), Sevenoaks (Head of History) and Cranleigh (Head of History & Assistant Housemaster). Described as an educational visionary, his interest in philosophy has informed his practice as an inspirational teacher and leader.

Said Mr Hawkins: “In September 2021, I take on a new role as Global Principal of Concord College International.  In this position I will have the privilege of shaping and leading the vision of Concord education around the world.  I will be able to give more time to the individual schools, advising on the education provided and on development as well as looking for new partners and opportunities globally.”
